Your cooker hood should be at least as wide as the hob below it. The available widths are:
- Below 60cm
- 60cm-69cm
- 70cm-90cm
- 90cm+
Types of cooker hood
Cooker hoods come in seven different types. Canopy, Integrated, and Telescopic models are built into a cupboard, while Chimney and Visor hoods are fitted to a wall. For those with a kitchen island, Ceiling-Mounted hoods are a viable option. Finally, Downdraft hoods rise up from your kitchen worktop.
